The exploration was directed to co-expression with the known CoV-2 receptor ACE2. 72 genes significantly co-expressed with ACE2. Of the transmembrane serine proteases, the most significantly coexpressed with ACE2 was TMPRSS4, suggesting it to be a putative druggable target.
