PMID: A case-control study found no association with the I/D polymorphism in this gene and increased susceptibility to SARS-coronavirus infection nor with poor outcomes after SARS-coronavirus infection (140 genetically unrelated Chinese SARS cases and 326 healthy volunteers were recruited).
